I had a revelation as I interviewed Anaiis Salles on my radio show the other night.
Anaiis is a bee whisperer. She loves the bees and they in turn, are asking her to help them. And by helping the bees survive, Anaiis is also helping the human species survive.
Anaiis is one who is facing the facts of our planetary crisis, and denial is not in her vocabulary.
Let us use the dandelion as an example. How many reading these words use chem- lawn to kill your dandelions? Or know a neighbor who does?
The farmer across our river uses Roundup and it looks like a desert over there.
Okay, how does the dandelion figure in with the bees?
Every spring when the bees wake up and go forth from their hives, they look for the dandelion. The dandelion and the bee have a long relationship together. The dandelion fuels the bee with the nectar needed for the survival of the bee. More than survival, though, the bee also encourages the dandelion to be the beautiful weed that it is. If all goes well, the bee is able to continue her life cycle without boundary of any kind. The bee knows the true meaning of freedom.
“If the honey bee disappears from the surface of the Earth, man would have no more than four years left to live.” ~ Albert Einstein
