Everything you write comes directly from your heart, but most especially this one! Beautifully written and what a tribute to your mom - to have you understand that she was indeed having a spiritual experience even as she was having her stroke. I like to think that she understands even now, that you not only understood and let her be where she was, but that later you even understood on a deeper level. Sounds like she would have appreciated your true depth of understanding. I understand that at some level. That kind of ecstasy. Joy beyond joy! Your mom taught you well! Oh, Kate!
