Professionalism is another word that needs to be redefined.

Dear Goddess, it doesn’t feel like late winter, but technically it is. Pearl and I are taking a beautiful evening walk, and the air smells warm and we can smell the river water. It feels like it’s going to rain which means it probably will.

I have a new definition for success. It is service. It is love.

People from all walks of life are starving for success by the definition just laid out. People want to be loved and they want to love. People want to serve because it makes them feel better to give unto others.

The old definitions of success are falling away. Success has in the past always been defined by money and wealth and prestige.  But that is a material idea of success.

There is so much in this world that needs to be redefined.

What words come to mind for you that could use a good redefinition?

Dear Goddess, Singing to your dog may be the most beautiful gift you can give him or her. I just watched the video again of me singing to Ulysses, and the look in his eye keeps brightening up the more I sing. So subtle yet so very sweet.

Pearl likes to be sung to as well. But just as she must grow into the Mechano Magic Therapeutic Massage, so  will the singing take some time for her to grow into.

Pearl is taking the Nupro very well, though. Her coat has gotten longer and more golden retriever-ish since she started to eat the Nupro. I highly recommend the Nupro for any dog in the world. What it does is supplement the dog food which is usually depleted in many ways, with nutrient dense
B vitamins, kelp, brewers yeast and no fillers or Genetically Modified substances.

I wish humans could eat it– probably could, but would taste nasty.

Dear Goddess,  I have been watching videos of Ulysses the dog, and found one in particular of Ulysses communing at the County Park, swimming in the river, the same river that flows by our house.

Interestingly,  the geese that we encountered that day recognized us because they knew Ulysses  and he knew them. These geese were in tune with Ulysses every year of his life.

Now Pearl is becoming familiar with them. We met these geese this morning and Pearl’s inquisitive  nature led her to the river bank to see what all the commotion was about.

The geese were greeting her on this beautiful spring morning.

Pearl has not yet gotten into the river itself. I think it might be too cold for her at this time. Something tells me she will be quite the little swimmer.

Every day last summer, Ulysses and I swam up to the rock and back to the house. I remember hearing his lovely breath as he swam by my shoulder each time. Devotion, pure and simple.

Every time I gave Ulysses the Mechano, he would lick my knee and seemingly go into a trance.

Pearl likes the Mechano, too! But at this point, she likes to have her belly rubbed more.

I wonder what it will be like to hang out with Pearl in the river? That beautiful white coat is going to get awfully muddy.

I am sure she will love every moment of that: dragonflies, lightning bugs, crickets, blue skies and humid air – and the ability to cool off in the river of water – this and much more is what makes summer heaven on earth.

Dear Goddess, The first Mechano workshop was a success. We added an energy component to help people feel  the vibrational field of the human body. I remember Henry Williams and his wife Dorthea saying that a person must not go through the motions while doing this treatment.

Going through the motions with anything  we do means that we must be asleep; sleepwalking;  doing a task without thinking.; doing things so routinely that we forget that we did it. That last one is something I’m sure we all can relate to.

So yesterday we practiced doing each move along the spine  of the Mechano with conscious  lucid deliberation. Isn’t that the way we should be doing everything?

We first of all practiced doing the Mechano on Gandalf the dog. He rolled his pretty brown eyes. He plays ball with such energy that he is well qualified to be an athlete. He needs the treatment for his back  which is in need of loosening up.

Next we practiced on the participants. And then we practiced on each other.  Maybe we can teach Gandalf how to do the treatment.

Gandalf and Pearl fell in love with each other. Here they are, kissing for the first time. I visualized a piece of mistletoe above their heads. Mistletoe was a sacred herb of the Druids. It has been known to cure cancer, too.

Whatever you do don’t tell the FDA that. Maybe what they need is a few good kisses, so that they allow natural cancer cures to flourish in the healing Renaissance that is happening, whether they approve of it or allow it, or not.

Dear Goddess, Today is March 5, 2012. The Blue Heron Farm Spiritual Retreat Center is almost ready for the Mechano workshop tomorrow. Tomaso and I are not obsessing about perfection. In fact we are not obsessing about anything at all.

This whole Mechano workshop idea began in earnest after Tom and I met Ella the dog. Melissa owns Ella, and Melissa is the owner of “On Orange,” a wonderful restaurant that we  frequent for great coffee and  food.

When we first met Ella the dog, Tom called her Doctor Ella. This acted as a nudge for me to get going with these workshops. Dr. Ella Kilgus is the originator of the Mechano therapeutic massage.

As I said to Tomaso morning, animals are our greatest teachers, for both of us. Ella the dog was the  deciding the factor in getting these workshops together.

We’ve been talking about it for years.  But it was the spark of divinity that this dog represented that got us motivated in an inspired way to move forward with this idea.

I also like to start new things on my birthday. One year we did a fundraiser for a paraplegic at my clinic. Three years ago I started a radio show on my birthday. This year we have started the Mechano workshops on my birthday.

Dear Goddess, I am in the process of writing a report on the Mechano, which I will give to the people who are  attending our workshop on the Mechano this coming Tuesday. I want the day to be a retreat for those attending, as well.

The Mechano is a little known therapeutic massage that is rapidly becoming extinct.

Teaching the Mechano will be a dream come true. I personally have done the Mechano for 55 years. I practice it on my patients. I have taught the nurses at work how to do it. However the hospital environment is not the optimal place to do anything. But it’s better than not doing it at all.

A few days ago, a diagram I was looking for of the spine and the pressure points associated with every point of the Mechano, fell off the shelf and onto the floor.

This was a sign from either Dr. Ella, who originated the technique, or Dr. Williams, my family doctor, telling me that I must go forth with the teaching. Or it was a sign from my mother, whose life was saved by the treatment, and by Dr Ella who performed the treatment on her.

This reminds me of the Snowy White Owl.

A few months after my mother died, I was talking to my brother on the phone. I asked him if he had any inkling of our mother communicating to and with  him in any way. I was standing at my bedroom window while I was talking to him.

Suddenly a great White Snowy Owl came flying  towards me at the window. I thought she would come right through the window, and I dropped to the floor with a sudden rapid heartbeat. She veered off and my husband saw her from the kitchen window.

Snowy White Owls are not indigenous  in our part of the country.

About a week later, I was thinking about my mother. I was thinking about the conversation I had with my brother, and about the experience with the Snowy  White Owl.

Suddenly a book dropped off the bookcase. It was an out-of-print bird book. The birds were illustrated by hand. The book was lying open to the Snowy White Owl.

This story is what I thought of when the diagram of the spine appeared to me in somewhat the same way the other day.

Spirit shows up in mysterious ways. There are certain things that we must carry on in our lives. The Mechano Method is  one of those things for me.

Dear God/ess, This is a prayer and a wish: For the hospitals in the world to become healing meccas. In this vision, I see dim non-fluorescent, natural lighting, I smell aroma-oils, and hear music, like that composed by C. D. Jensen.

The equipment is not manufactured with alarms or screeching sounds of any kind.

All the doctors and nurses are healers. They don’t gossip. They give everyone around them the benefit of the doubt. They smile as a way of life. The administration leads with compassion. They create a level playing field so that no hierarchy exists between the healers and the administration, or anyone else who graces this healing environment.

In fact, the definition of administration is changed in this new paradigm. Now an administrator is one who oversees the inner workings of the healing arena, insuring a well coordinated, well orchestrated symphony that creates perfect pitch in the ear that listens for all that is right and just in the the larger scheme of things.

The old leadership model is so far in the past that no one even remembers it anymore. The corporate model whose lack of empathy trickled down from the very top where the bottom line was everything about money, is now only a bad dream. A nightmare.

Now, nurses are telepathically in tune with their patients. As with Ho’oponopono, each healer works on therapeutically changing their own perspective, directing healing rays to all.

Healing animals like Ulysses, Mukunda, Pearl and Gandalf The Golden Boy lie under the sick bed and further bring calm to those who are ill or dying. Both good health and illness are celebrated, because each have their own lessons that inform the individual and every other species on the planet and beyond.
