The show tonight was especially lovely because Ulysses, my dog, suddenly became animated and very mythic looking just before the show began and throughout the entire show!!
He was absorbing energy from the “Collective!!”
At the end of the show, Amy spoke to Ulysses personally. It was the sweetest gesture I have ever known!!
What is it like to see life symbolically, prayerfully and humbly?
What happens when we “see” through eyes that are washed clean by Divine Sight?
And what happens when we allow the mystic archetypal message to lead us to our true destiny?
Mr2020 and Carol Wingert joined us this evening and I felt as if we were sitting around a camp fire, staring into the fire, as we revealed our true selves!!
I write prayers in order to open myself at all times to the Divine. Maybe I am one who needs constant reminding. But writing prayers is an exercise in discipline and creativity. It is an excellent writing practice.
Already this year, 1/6/2010, I lost my beloved dog, Mukunda. Writing daily prayers has eased my sorrow, and helped me to face the grief head on.
2) Walk every day with my dog
I now have one dog whose name is Ulysses, who is pictured here. . We go on many walks, we play ball, and Ulysses loves to play “stick,” as well. Ulysses, by the way, took the passing of Mukunda very well, because Muki died in my arms with Ule observing. Say what you will, but animals take death in stride. They seem to innately know that death does not exist, and nothing ever dies.
3) Play my violin at least three times a week
I have been doing well so far with this on. We found a wonderful drummer who plays with us, and we are planning to do a gig for Saint Patrick’s day!
4) Communicate with like-minded people
This is an easy one. Onine and offline, I have friends who I may or may not see eye to eye on all things, nevertheless, we love each other.
5) Commit to loving thoughts continuously
This is my favorite Intention of all. Every moment of every day, we have a choice in what we think and how we think. We can choose love or we can choose fear. I believe a meditation practice is powerfully helpful in automatically choosing love over fear.
6) Allow all the good in the Universe to be my constant companion
This one is easy as long as I have a dog in my life. All the good in the Universe is contained in all the dogs I have ever had. Since dogs are the greatest companions known to hu-mans, then Love is the natural outcome of these wonderful friendships.
What happens if I don’t have a dog?
I’ll have to go out into the world and find one!
7) See the good in all the people, all the time
I am getting better and better at this one. Yes humans can do some pretty stupid things that end up being amazingly unloving. These things are done out of ignorance.
Forgiveness is the only answer.
See the good in every situation
Let us say I have a particularly challenging situation arise. I have a choice, whether to emphasize the drama of the story, how “awful” it was or is; or I can choose to see all of the blessings from everything that happened.
I choose the latter!
9) Seek balance in solitude and the company of people
It’s all too possible to be alone too much, or be with people far too much. Seeking balance in these and all things is my wish for the New Year.
10) Cherish the time that I have here on Planet Earth
Every moment is precious. Love it. Live it. Experience it. Do not run away from it.
Sheila Audet, Astrology’s Astrologer, tells us how Astrology sees the tragedy of James Arthur Ray and the deaths of his followers at the Angel Valley Retreat On October 8,2009. The Secret Teacher has some lessons to learn.
We rallied for Single Payer Healthcare reform at the Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg PA on October 20, 2009. (Pictured here is the Rotunda, as seen looking straight up from the inside of that historic building!
Pennsylvania may well be the first State to enact Single Payer in America. The commonwealth wil save 2 plus billion dollars the first year it is put into place.
I am a nurse. The lack of healthcare access and the suffering this creates is one of the number one reasons for burnout in my profession.
Thanks to all the good people who came out and spoke for such a worthy cause, and thanks to the 1,500 people who showed up to show their support.
It was a great pleasure having Leonard Laskow on Moon, Moo & You: The Collective
Wisdom 9/22/09.
Leonard was a busy OB/GYN physician in San Francisco for twenty-five years. One weekend he went on a spiritual retreat and during a meditation, in a darkened room, it suddenly seemed as if all the
lights turned on. Yet the light was an inner luminosity. Len said he felt a presence. Then he inwardly heard a voice that said, “Your work is to heal with love.” The voice was clear and had such a wisdom about it that he knew it was true. He felt a tingling throughout his body, and he felt all the tiny hairs stand straight up.
And he cried.
Len responded to the voice by asking, “But am I worthy?”
The voice said, “You are no less or no more worthy than anyone else. Your Job is to heal with love.”
Over time, Len wrote his book, “Healing With Love,” and left his busy OB/GYN practice.
Harpers was the first publisher of the book and at the last moment told Len he had to come up with a different title. It’s too New Age, they said.
But Len held firm and said that title had to remain. He said on the show that it came from a higher place than where their titles were coming from.
Fourteen years ago, my husband Tom had a heart attack, and I decided we needed to change our diet.
I started taking a Macrobiotic Cooking class at the time and during a break, began to wander around the store. At the cash register was a brochure about Leonard Laskow coming to Lancaster PA to teach an introductory course on his healing technique.
On the brochure it said how much work it is to fight and resist our life challenges, and surrender to love would make life easy and joyful. I wasn’t at all sure how to accomplish this, but I wanted to find out.
Thus began our fourteen year journey, so far, with Leonard Laskow.
I asked Len to speak about The Healing Image that has meant so much to me over these last fourteen years.
In order to understand the Healing Image, we must understand the larger process, of what Leonard calls Holoenergetic Healing: healing with the energy of the whole which is greater than the sum of its parts. Holoenergetic Healing is a method of healing which traces suffering back to its experiential roots. Holoenergetic Healing releases separative energies and allows them to return to their source.
The Holoenergetic Healing method has four parts:
1) Recognizing what needs to be healed, and often this process is done when a person is very ill or
is experiencing great psychological distress. People often want to change at times of the Dark Night Of The Soul.
2) Resonance- You look at the pain of the situation without resisting, covering it up, or denying, and you come into resonance with what is, becoming one with the Truth, and the Truth then sets you free. In coming into Oneness with all of our previous misinterpretations and misperceptions, we are better able to release the false beliefs that bind us.
These include but are not limited to: I am not worthy to receive love, I’m not good enough, God is punishing me, Money is the root of all evil, therefore I will not receive Money into my life etc.
The practitioner is not doing the work for a person, but the great transformation comes from within, helping the person to begin to operate from the seat of their own power. So the negativity that you have created in your life can be dis-created when these insights are integrated into your life. Whatever has veiled yourself from your essential nature, underneath all of this IS your essential nature expressing itself through your soul.
Each soul has its own individual fingerprint.
The feelings you have always wanted to experience such as love, abundance, safety, receiving, peace, harmony, prosperity, the soul wants you to experience these. The process asks for something to come in to represent these feelings. The mind is emptied and allows the healing image to be chosen by the intuitive mind. The healing image becomes a representation of these positive representations. The healing image already exists in the morphic field and is waiting for you to choose it.
3) Release that which no longer serves you.
4) Reformation- This is the stage where you integrate the new healing image into your daily life by requesting a sign through which it can communicate with you. Perhaps it is a sequence of numbers such as 33, 22, 44, or a star, moon or dolphin, or any other significant symbol. You then agree on some signal in the world through which your very own healing image may continue to awaken you.
Forgiveness is another important component of the Holoenergetic Process.
The dictionary definition of forgiveness is forgetting that which was done to you. People don’t want to forget something horrific because they might be doomed to experience it again.
The energy of true forgiveness comes from within yourself.
Forgiveness truly is an inside job!!
The purpose of forgiveness is for giving yourself the gift of love. It releases the charge of the circumstances.
It releases the identification from the story.
Through anger, judgement and blame you become a prisoner of the past. Forgiving yourself is the deepest part of forgiving. When you fail to forgive, you’ve projected the enemy you refuse to forgive outwardly, because this projection is really the part of yourself in need of forgiveness.
The forgiveness process is a 20 to 30 minute exercise where you confront the person you need to forgive inwardly, without telling your story to anyone else. In reality, says Len, you need to forgive your inner child, the adolescent and the adult, all of whom performed unloving actions to a number of people over the course of your lifetime, so far.
Forgiveness and healing comes from a place of grace.
Often, the Unconditional Love Process is done after the forgiveness process. This is an experience of knowing how it feels to be loved by Source Energy. The Healing is linked through love to Unity, linking the physical with the inner energy body and with your spiritual essence. The appearance of “between” is linked in such a way as to be beyond the appearance of separation to Unity.
And finally, the most important component of Holoenergetic Healing is creating what Len calls “The Loving Field,” where love is consciously circulated inwardly and outwardly to make healing a reality. Loving intention is critical to the healing process.
I tried to capture the essence of this show, but another very awesome part is when Len imitated the heartbeat of a mom and then her baby in utero. It all had to do with tones and music that helps a mom to name her baby in the Russian culture.
Listen for yourself. This show was a profound experience, and I trust it will be for you, when you listen.
