In-joy The Smells Of The Earth

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, Happy Friday! Ulysses is in his Heavenly Realm, today–the world of the Conestoga River. Most of you will be able to slow down and notice the beauty of this beautiful season this weekend. Be like Ulysses, and in-joy everything around you.

In-joy the smells of the earth, the breezes and of the cool nights that have finally arrived.

Feel the reminiscence that this season always brings, year after year: The smell of drying leaves, the soothing meditation of falling leaves, the memories that arise that take us back to our childhood.

Take an afternoon, and just notice.

Walk your dog and take it all in. Pause. Notice.

Sit with your cat and place your hand on her body. Feel the purring. Let her speak her love to you through her satisfied language.

Reach out to others through the kindness of Love.

Pause. Notice.

Om Peace Amen

Don’t Look To The World For Your Source Of Power

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, I am hanging out with Ulysses this evening, and also creating a Face Book Page for my radio show, Kate Loving And The Collective Wisdom. I like the excitement surrounding doing interviews for New World Library authors. I also am looking for someone to come on the radio to discuss abolishing the Death Penalty. I am still disturbed and will always be disturbed by the execution/murder of Troy Anthony Davis at 2308, 9/22/2011. I will try and contact Michelle Alexander, author of The New Jim Crow. The book offers a chilling account of the way people of color are tortured and abused in prison and just about everywhere else.

Here is a quote from her book: “Jarvious Cotton cannot vote. Like his father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather, he has been denied the right to participate in our electoral democracy. Cotton’s family tree tells the story of several generations of black men who were born in the United States but were denied the most basic freedom that democracy promises–the freedom to vote for those who will make the rules and laws that govern one’s life. Cotton’s great-great grandfather could not vote as a slave. His great-grandfather was beaten to death by the Ku Klux Klan for attempting to vote. His grandfather was prevented from voting by Klan intimidation. His father was barred from voting by poll taxes and literacy tests. Today, Jarvious Cotton cannot vote  because he, like many black men in the United State, has been labeled a felon and in currently on parole.”

I just contacted Ms Alexander’s publisher to see if she will come on the show.

The demonstrations on Wall Street are attracting greater numbers of peaceful protesters, yet the police are spraying the activists in the face with pepper spray and violently throwing them to the ground. I guess neither the police or the Mayor of New York realized that everyone has a camera these days, and these examples of Police Brutality are becoming widely available on the Internet. The National News has so far ignored these protests. Imagine, the Banks and the Wall Street traders have been stealing from us for years, and never have had to pay. Yet these nonviolent protesters are being thrown into jail, and beaten.

We have a society that is rising up. Nothing is adding up as far as the World is concerned. But we know that Spirit will lead the way. We know that there is nothing to fear.

It’s Easier To Ask For Forgiveness Than To Ask For Forgiveness.”

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, After our friend Jo-an passed 8/3/2011, she seems to be ever present in the lives of all of her friends. Perhaps it’s because we all know, for once and for all, that there’s no separation between this world and any other.

Our friend Sheila decided that we are all Jo-an’s Angels. We are in our specific realms bestowing goodness and honesty wherever we happen to be.

Since her passing, we notice that mysteriously, good things seem to be happening to us. We seem to be protected. Everyday, a new miracle occurs to everyone of us.

Jo-an said  something that was quoted at her Memorial service: “It’s easier to ask forgiveness than to ask permission.”

As strong, independent people, we no longer look to others for validation. And when we piss them
off, we ask for their forgiveness. If we ask for their permission, we know we will never get it.

That’s when the fun begins.

On Peace Amen

My Good News

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, I have a short time before I can publish this before the day, 9/27/11 ends.

But I have news which I want to share with all of you before I tell “The World.”

As mentioned before, I’ve submited the book proposal: Prayers To Heal: Waking Up The Mystical Divine to a writing contest, which in the end, could be published by either New World Library, or Balboa Press. I am most attracted to New World Library, who also publishes Eckhart Tolle’s books. Consequently, I have “Liked” the New World Library Face Book Fan Page, and often go over there to add my 2 cents to whatever anyone has to say.

Lo and behold, the Senior Publicist of New World Library, Kim Corbin, contacted me and ask me to do radio interviews for the new authors with recently published books!

This was as exciting to me then if I had been offered a publishing contract! If I am also offered a publishing contract, I may swoon into an ecstatic state!

So this is truly a wonderful turn of events!

Thanks to all the prayers, the beauty of the moment and the season, and your interest in the words that are written from the Love that is available to us all!

Om Peace Amen

Prayer For The Night

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, Every now and then, I have to say a prayer for everyone, everywhere who works the night shift. When our patients come to the hospital in the middle of the night, and have to Labor Down for most of the night, they experience what it is like to stay awake all night long.

And they become totally exhausted. So this prayer is also for them.

The three second power nap is a marvelous was to revive yourself. The trick is to put your hand over your forehead, with pen poised over a piece of paper or a medical record, and dose off into a beautiful dream. It is also important to tell your subconscious mind, ” I am rested and alert.”

Every moment is sacred, no matter what time of day it is. The time before nightfall is especially powerful, and Ulysses and I are sharing this precious moment in time right now.

The crickets claim the night as their own. So does the moon, the various species of Owl, and the night heron. The lightening bugs, although with us briefly, are mostly abundant at exactly this time of day.

Circadian Rhythm Disturbances have subtle ramifications. Because we eat at all times of day and night, we get pudgy around the middle. We learn to sleep standing up. We become more flexible in the way we experience “time.” Sleeping and waking dreams have no apparent separation.

I will always appreciate doing time as a night shifter. There’s a lot of Love at night.

Truly.

Om Peace Amen

First Draft Of “Prayers To Heal: Waking Up The Mystical Divine” is Done!

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, The first draft of  Prayers To Heal: Waking Up The Mystical Divine, is completed. I am happy to reach this milestone.

Interestingly, the rhythms of life and the seasons, the ongoing quality of life, and the reality that we are all in this together are what propelled this book forward.

Prayer is a Universal Language. Instead of English as a second language, I propose that Prayer is a second language, a language that finally must be brought to the forefront of mass consciousness.

Prayer is a stand alone entity, neither owned or controlled by religion of spiritual tradition, by church,  synagogue or mosque. The Laws Of The Universe will help humankind understand this in time. These Laws are Love, Compassion and Kindness. May these Laws guide us all to enlightened Self-Realization.

I Am Troy Davis. We Are Troy Davis.

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, I am Troy Davis.
We are Troy Davis.

An innocent man was executed in the State Of Georgia last night.

A society that kills people as a punishment is not modeling a redemptive example to our children and grandchildren. A society that kills animals and people is not going to convince anyone to do the right thing.

We have a strictly punitive criminal justice system here in this country. What happens to a person who has not committed murder, and is locked up for years, treated like an animal without rehabilitation and then released to an unsuspecting population? How does this serve anyone, the person who committed the crime and the people s/he must go forth and co-mingle with?

The American tax-payer subsidizes this barbaric and medieval system of so called justice, which in fact creates  more criminals. When society  judges a person on the worst thing s/he ever did in his (or her)  life, there is very little room for redemption.

Since 1973, 138 Americans were convicted of murder and sentenced to death and subsequently exonerated, found to be innocent of their crime. An untold number have been put to death, claiming to be innocent. Many people  have lost respect for bureaucrats and politicians these days because they commit crimes and escape punishment. If our government is indeed convicting and killing innocent people, how can We The People continue to allow these atrocities to continue?

How can we redeem our social humanitarian values from the ashes of a system that no longer serves the Common Good?

Today over half the countries of the world have abolished the Death Penalty, while we continue to execute folks at a rate unparalleled  at any other time in American History.

So we take personal responsibility. We face the truth of our broken system and become honest and integrated people. In this process, we discover our inner grace and ability to forgive.

We do this because there is no other choice.

Om Peace Amen

Further Insights About The Language Of Prayer

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, Last night’s Prayer Reading was truly an experience of Flow. I want to emphasize the Aha insight I got while doing the radio show. I began to see that Prayer is a language that if expressed by more and more people, not as a consequence of any one religion, but of all religions and spiritual traditions, that here is what will happen: The whole Universe will respond.

The whole Universe will heal.

Neither man or woman can fix what is wrong or what is right. The natural progression of healing requires that we get out of the way. This is where Prayer can do the fixing through the language of Love.

This is why the book, Prayers To Heal: Waking Up The Mystical Divine, is needed at this time. We all need to start thinking as if in  prayerful contemplation. As we learn to pray almost as second nature, the Angels will lead the way. The Angels will iron out the wrinkles, smooth and sooth and clear the toxicity that only the unseen worlds are capable of doing.

Prayer is the language that helps us face the truth that All That Is is in control. The sooner we accept this, the greater will be our liberation.

What Is A Prayer Reading?

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, Tonight I did a Prayer Reading on Kate Loving And The Collective Wisdom. It was fun and flowed well. It gave me a platform to promote the book, Prayers To Heal: Waking Up The Mystical Divine,  even before it is published.

Here is the Squidoo Lens with the radio show “dropped” in as a way to promote the upcoming book more widely.

I am not sure I ever heard of a Prayer Reading before. Maybe we can get a movement started: Karaoke Prayers.

Prayers need to become a part of the public vernacular. Prayers are a language that can be seen as Universal Communication. Prayers in this way are a higher form of communing, and relating to all of life in the Universe.

Prayers are a part of every religion and spiritual tradition, and are not owned by Christianity.

The more prayers we can put “out there,” the sooner we will see a reversal of a fear based Culture and Society.

In the meantime, Let Us Pray.

Every Moment Is An Opportunity To Begin Anew

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, What is it that we want today? Do we operate from a place of weakness or of strength? Do we pause frequently and ask  for Your Love, Your Compassion to infuse our etheric bodies with a sense of meaning larger than the Universe, Herself?

Do we follow through with what we know to be true?

Do we follow through with the gifts of Love washing through all of us? Do we stop and receive these gifts?

Every single second is an opportunity to begin again. As I watch the ink upon the page, I slow down, am thankful for the gifts of prayer, of words, of no words, of the silence between the words.

Amen, Om, Peace.
