Give Everyone Kindness, Because They Deserve It

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, I am breathing a sigh of relief right now, because I just completed Chapter 2 of Prayers To Heal: Waking Up The Mystical Divine.

Here are some of the insights gleaned from my experience:

“If your intention is to keep your heart open, and a willingness to stay close to Spirit, you can start each new day with a song and a dance as Gift to God/ess. When the world becomes overwhelming, we simply start again.”

“Cultivate kindness today.

Focus on a person’s heart energy, and look beyond their behavior.

When you are put on the defensive, practice kindness. People who lash out are fearful and in need of (your) love.

You deserve to be happy, so practice kindness and forgiveness.

When you with hold kindness, you suffer. That is a decision you can make but does not benefit you.

Everyone deserves kindness. By offering kindness, you give everyone what they deserve.”

“All the lives we ever lived are being lived now. Who I am is who I’ve always been and always will be. We don’t get to “come back” because we are already here.

We are already here, now and forever.

That blows the Reincarnation Theory which is based on linear time.”

These are just a few WOWS I just picked up! I will get going with Chapter 3 later tonight or tomorrow morning!

Raw And Naked Truth

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, My philosophy today: “Anyone I meet today, I am supposed to meet, and anyone I meet, I smile.”

I am in the streets of my home town today, making some inquiries into housing for a friend who was cruelly evicted from her home soon after her life partner passed from this dimension.

Since when does heartlessness constitute admission into meaningful discourse with the rest of humanity? I did not see it coming, but my acupressure practitioner did. I admire his ability to read people’s character. I always thought I was good at that too, but apparently I still possess 1950′s naivety.

We still live in a small town, where doing the right thing is always the best option, not just because people talk about you if you don’t.

Nevertheless, here I am, speaking to people who stop me for compassionate exchanges. I love them all. They are precious.

The amazing most significant thing is this: What the world classifies as truth is often dressed up to hide The Fear.

Raw and naked spirit is always true, without fear, and constantly real.

Go tell that to the mountain!

Each Season Brings With It The Song Which Harmonizes Us With The God/ess Of Our Understanding

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, The hurricane Irene swept through this weekend, and left behind this raging Conestoga River, pictured here, which usually meanders past my house. This picture does not represent the result of the worst storm I have ever seen. Hurricane Floyd forced raging river water 1/2 up our pasture, whereas the waters in this storm were almost still contained within the river banks.

Storms give the gift and the opportunity to go inward and listen to your inner guidance system with rain beating on roofs and wind pounding on every available surface! It all serves as fuel for the subconscious mind. Every now and again, we need a shake up, and at the end of it all, every single assumption we ever had ends up in the melting pot of false beliefs.

Today brings us sharp, clear, calm skies and warm breezes as if to reassure us that nature is not that far from the human soul. So we revel in the last of the summer and appreciate the light of the fading days, the longer nights, the revery of crickets having their last say before the first frost.

Each season brings with it the song which harmonizes us with the God/ess of our understanding.

On Peace Amen

May We All Rest Knowing: We Are Loved

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, I am thinking of Prophecy as handed down by the American Indians and compared to Western American thinking, for example.

My friend, Jerry Lee Miller,  just came back from the Tar Sands Demonstration in Washington DC and was arrested there. He will be on my radio show to discuss his experience on Tuesday night.

He told me that when the earthquake had the ground rolling this past Tuesday, and all who were gathered in Washington felt it, they all also felt the great synchronicity involved with caring for the earth, and finally putting an end to Oil Dependency. The earth spoke back to all of them there.

She said, “I hear you, my friends.”

The Western Mind predicts earthquakes and the end of the Mayan Calendar, as some sort of  Armageddon.

American Indian Prophecy looks at what is happening here on the earth right here, right now, as a cycle that ebbs and flows, without beginning or end, like the seasons that run through our lives.

Join us this Tuesday when we discuss the forward momentum and Love we all have for our Mother, this beautiful Planet of ours.  May we all rest knowing that no matter what happens, we are Loved.

When the earth speaks, we had better pay heed and respect her power.

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, Earthquakes and hurricanes are on every one’s mind here in East Coast America! The earth is speaking and we’d better pay close attention!

I had just come from another funeral/memorial and the house began to shake at 2PM 8/23. It wouldn’t stop and I thought, “If this doesn’t stop soon, we are in trouble!”

Another earthquake occurred at 2AM, 36 hours after the first, and this time Ulysses was restless all night long. Ulysses’ pal Fenwick was beside himself when I called his mistress several hours before the quake. We humans never felt that one.

The first quake stopped after about 2 minutes! Then I called around and everyone was pretty in tune with the earth shaking under their feet! It was a first of it’s kind around here. Op-Ed News ran a story on it’s front page a about how fracking is causing more earthquakes in places that never had them before. Arkansas is a good example of this phenomena. And fracking is widespread in those parts.

Hurricane Irene is headed inland to this area of the country this weekend. I remember one like that in the early 50′s. That storm was called Hazel. And she sent all of us running to hide!

When the earth speaks, we had better pay heed and respect her power.

When Unconditional Love Comes Knocking, We Must Find Ways To Keep Her Around

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, Tis a very humid evening here in East Coast America. Ulysses has been in the river at least three times, and I’ve thrown a few balls for him, and otherwise cleaned the house. I’ve decided that cleaning the house is a process, which I will attend to every day, in bits and pieces. Like writing prayers, or putting together my book, “Prayers To Heal: Waking Up The Mystical Divine.” What’s the hurry? It’s already written, in spirit, and the house is already clean in spirit, too.

The whirlwind of connection and awakening that continues to spiral from our dear friend Jo-an’s passing, has given me a headache, lasting a little under a week, now. I’ve ignored it well, and have not succumbed to it in any way. But tonight, I made an appointment with one of Jo-an’s Life Students, who saw her through right to the so called end of her life. He is an acupressure therapist, but he and Jo-an have a soul love that has to be wonderful for both of them.

It was a three month meeting of the mind.

So I called him tonight and talked to him about Jo-an. He’s one of those sensitive souls who is real. We talked heart to heart, and after getting off the phone, I sent him the radio link to Jo-an’s guest appearance on MMY last year, 9/28/10. The topic was death and dying.

I will be seeing him tomorrow at 1430.  Wow. It’s been awhile since I’ve taken care of myself in that way. I am happy to know that we all continue to find a way to keep the Love Rolling. Everyday, we can think of ways to keep love alive. So tomorrow, I have that part covered.

I synchronistically ran into Jo-an’s daughter today at Cosco’s. That was a heart warming moment. Funny to look into someone’s eyes and feel the pulsating light that encompasses all– right there in the middle of a hustle and bustle thoroughfare. This must be what is meant by the barriers crumbling in the world.

And we are witnesses to it.

Going Home Is Like Stepping Through An Open Door!

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, Another Hometown  Icon  passed on August 14th, and I went to her Memorial Service today. She was a musical director at the Unitarian Church as well as a  local theater scene Musical Giant. She had a voice that truly knocked you unexpectedly to the ground.

One of her students sang, “Going Home,” which managed to release a river of tears. That song, in my opinion, is a spiritual testament to life after death. Going Home is nothing more than opening the door to the next adventure in our Destiny, so say the words.

I am trying to get an audio version of it, since the video somehow is not translating. I was transported to another place in the spiritual realm in that church, the second time in just a few days of going there to honor a life.

Here is a Paul Robeson link to his beautiful version of Going Home!

I want to share a Rumi Poem I read at Jo-an’s service on Saturday. It had an effect on everyone there that day:

Whoever Brought Me Here, Will Have To Take Me Home

All day I think about it then at night I say it.
Where did I come from, and what am I supposed to be doing?
I have no idea.
My soul is from elsewhere, I’m sure of that,
And I intend to end up there.

This drunkenness began in some other tavern,
When I get back around to that place,
I’ll be completely sober. Meanwhile,
I’m like a bird from another continent, sitting in this aviary.
The day is coming when I fly off,
but who is it now in my ear who hears my voice?
Who says words with my mouth?

Who looks out with my eyes? What is the soul?
I cannot stop asking.
If I could taste one sip of an answer,
I could could break out of this prison for drunks.
I didn’t come here of my own accord, and I can’t leave that way.
Whoever brought me here will have to take me home.

This poetry. I never know what I am going to say.
I don’t plan it.
When I’m outside the saying of it,
I get very quiet and rarely speak at all.

RUMI

Dropping The Veil That Separates Us!

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, Has anyone reading these words ever had a major transformational turnaround, or shift in your thinking because some one close to you dropped their body?

This happened to me 24 years ago while sitting with my mother when she died after a three month illness. The room lit up and her spirit filled the room. My dear mum had deep lines etched upon her face from the suffering she endured the last three months of her life. Miraculously, right before my eyes, the wrinkles disappeared, and she looked like a fourteen year old girl.

I remember returning to my home and marveling at the light which was filling my entire being. Every thought I had was filled with unconditional love, Any person I thought of, I suddenly loved them, even if they did an unforgivable act by the standards of the world.

This lasted for 3-4 days. White light was breathing inside my heart and I wanted to express this with service and non- judgement forever.

Twenty-four years later, Jo-an Glasse passed on, and she is my mother’s best friend. The other day at her service, in my utterly sleep deprived state, this same experience overtook me as it had twenty-four years before. Sheila Audet choreographed the experience we all had.

Sheila and Jo-an’s children found an audio of Jo-an’s beloved “seed service” and they created the service in such a way that  Jo-an could  perform her own funeral service.

Sheila said, “Are we on?”

Then Jo-an’s voice boomed all over the church, ” ARE WE ON???”

It was like a strike in the third eye, especially in my sleep deprived state. I believe it also created an altered state   for everyone else there.

In her passing, and experiencing the disembodied voice of our dear, dear friend, I had a spiritual awakening. I fully came to know that death is an illusion. No one ever dies. There is no other side. We are all here, now.

Yet our dearly beloved loved ones have their own destinies and missions they must immerse themselves in.

I haven’t been tremendously in tune with the so-called other side. But the experience in the church woke me up to a beautiful communication that always is available to us.

Jo-an has been showing up as an exquisite blue butterfly. As I prepared to confront a family member about her alcohol problem tonight, I heard Ulysses bark. He was barking at a blue butterfly that was erratically flying around my front yard. Jo-an was giving me the courage to open my heart to the tragedy that could befall my family any moment by an untimely death.

I wanted my alcoholic to know that she is too young to die. She must find what makes her heart sing. She must
find her mission here on Planet Earth, the greatest teaching and learning opportunity known to any of us here, now.

I told her and I begged her through tears of sadness as well as tears of joy.

Isn’t that what true Unconditional Love is all about?

Bye Bye Monsanto

Published by under Uncategorized

Dear God/ess, The other day, I wrote a prayer about the cool idea of everyone everywhere ending the practice  of lawn treatment and thus, ending the war on the beautiful and simple Dandelion.

War on the Dandelion? Is that equal to all the other wars America is currently waging?

If everyone grew a garden on their untreated lawns, we would have an Organic cornucopia, and Monsanto, the Genetic Engineering Giant, would not be able to continue bullying Organic Farmers.

As an act of self-defense against the Monsanto Bullying, 270,000 Organic Farmers across the US are suing Monsanto before Monsanto attempts to drive out Organic Farming in the US.

This is good news for the Dandelion.

It’s So Wonderful To Do Nothing And Then Relax Afterwards

Published by under Uncategorized

Img_1032

Dear God/ess, In my experiment in being Lazy AND Productive, Marc Allen, publisher of New World Library, in one of our exchanges, shared this with me: “It’s so wonderful to do nothing and then relax afterwards.” (Spanish proverb)

My response to him was: “That is totally transformational! I found a large-ish pin with bold letters which say: “Please Remain Calm.” I flash it to people who are freaking out, especially at work. It cracks everyone up and immediate relaxation results! I equate harmony, relaxation and ease, as well as laughter with the lazy dazy eternity of summer, hammock naps and river swims with my lovely dog, Ulysses!”

But the word “lazy” is not looked upon kindly by almost anyone I happen to discuss the word with! Because of this societal knee jerk reaction, I am determined to live out the rest of my life as a fully engaged, lazy and relaxed, mirthful and expansive Human Being, not a Human Doing.

Ulysses is lazy in this moment. I could hardly get him to go out for a nightly pee here at the beach. But I honor his wishes. He walked and ran and played in the ocean waves all day, in between long naps. Now he says he is tired. That is understandable.

I am not as lazy as I aspire to be in the future. But I am working on it!
